| Notes | EACH INDIVIDUAL LED CAN BE SET TO DIFFERENT COLOUR Digital Addressable LED is a new and easy way to add complex lighting effects to any project. The difference between analogue and digital is the analogue-type strips have all the LEDs connected in parallel and it acts like one huge tri-colour LED and you can set the entire strip to any colour you want, but you can't control the individual LED's colours. For the Digital type, there are control chips (WS2811) embedded along the strip to interpret the digitally coded data to change the colour of individual LEDs. LED strips come in 5M reels. There are 300 individually addressable 5050 Type LEDs in total so the strips feature a lot more LEDs closer together than some of the other models on the market. There is one WS2811 IC to control every group of three LEDs. At one end of the LED strip, there is a 3 pin JST SM plug and a 2 wire cable. At the another end, there is a JST SM receptacle and a 2 wire cable. The JST connector makes it easier to wire up without soldering. The 2 wire cable is used to inject power when you are joining LED strips together, this ensures ample power so the LEDs do not appear to loose brightness over longer installations. The LED strip is made of a flexible material and can be gently bent around curved surfaces. DIGILED-1101, 1111 has adhesive tape on the back for mounting (excludes 1121). You can cut the LED to the length needed at the cutting line where JST can be attached. Easy to customise for different types of projects. The three models of digital addressable LED strips differ by the IP ratings. The DIGLED-1101 is rated at IP20. It has no waterproof property and is designed for indoor applications. The DIGLED-1111 is rated at IP65. This LED strip is coated with a layer of resin to stop ingress from affecting the LEDs. It is suitable for applications where moisture and dust may accumulate. The DIGLED-1121 is rated at IP68 and is fully sealed inside a silicone jacket making it suitable for outdoor applications that require withstanding the elements. DIGLED strips are controlled by the SP103E with RF remote control. The simple to use remote features over 300 types of lighting effects and patterns to choose from. Requires a 12Vdc power supply (3A to 5A is recommended) for each strip, these are sold separately.The digital addressable feature allows you to control each LED individually and set the colour of each LED through the WS2811 LED chip.The WS2811 chip can be controlled by our SP103E compact RF remote control (sold separately).The featured JST SM plug and receptacle allows easy wiring connection without the need of soldering.The LED strip can be cut to length along the cut mark to suit different projects.Available in three models with different IP ratings, IP20 (DIGLED-1101), IP65 (DIGLED-1111) and IP68 (DIGLED-1121).The DIGLED-1101 and DIGLED-1111 have a self adhesive tape at the back of the LED strip for mounting.Flexible and bendable design allows the LED to bend around curved surfaces.Requires power from a 12V power supply. Note: Peak power requirements. From our testing, a single 5M Digital LED strip uses about 2A on max white, and more for colour, so we recommend a 3A power supply. You can not cascade power. For aditional lengths, you need to inject further power supplies for each aditional 5M. On testing we found for relaible success when using a 5A power supply for each aditional 5M strip. |
